protection poem
So if you're ever coming down
when you're lying next to me
and you see that i am dreaming
and you wish that you could be
and the gnasher's got your stomach
and the fairy's gone to bed
and the bluebells and the daisies
are exploding in your head
and you want to run for miles
through the park in to the sun
and you're feeling very cold now
and you're scared you haven't won
then take me in your arms and tap me on the head
and wake me without warning because you need me there -
and I will melt in to you and I will hold your fears
and I'll kiss you til you smile again - now all you spooks, beware!
