Hey everyone! just a quick one before I run out the door and in to our newly arrived mobile home with my two fellow adventurers Dave and Garfield....we are off on the new Unlit tour! We are off to play Unlits across the country for a month in the houses of various generous and like-minded souls who like me want to create some beautiful moments and see the breadth and depth of the sung and unsung performers around this isle.....from penzance all the way to the tippy top of Bettyhill on the north scottish coast, we are going to be driving back and forth, stopping here and there and there and here....guitars and cameras in hand, and making little films and blogs for you all so you can come with us vicariously as the melancholic end of summer and post holiday blues need easing....come and join us if you like...because of the huge exposure that will be given to these Unlits by Orange, who are sponsoring this tour, they aren't strictly open to "outsiders"....but you're not outsiders, if you've read this far you're an unlitter...so call me, on 07985 323 263, if you fancy coming to one...if I don't pick up, try to email or connect through the new fancy Unlit website (www.i-am-everyone.co.uk/orangeunlit or www.myspace.com/orangeunlit) or my myspace....and I'll talk to the host and try to get you in...if I don't get back to you, sorry, I will be pretty busy.
It's a little weird having Orange sponsoring this thing....we did a photo shoot yesterday and they were telling me how they were going to be colouring various bits of the set orange with photoshop so that they could enhance their brand...oh well, it doesn't worry me....they are giving me and dave the chance to do the thing we have been doing for years, exactly how we want to do it, in an even more technologically exciting way and to get the vibe of Unlit out to many thousands more people than would otherwise know about it, people who hopefully in some way, some day, will take up the baton and start putting their own ones on, who knows, maybe filming them! and sharing the joy of their nights with thousands more people...
....so, a snowstorm of beauty and synchronicity....that's what i'm anticipating....I will try to keep my head above the deluge and report honestly and ably...thankyou for your support and comprehension of what Unlit is thus far....and see you for a big one in London town when we get back....with love Jont
